Thank you for choosing A Good Sort as a partner to help you regain control, find peace and joy in your space. Before we begin working together, it is important to review the following terms, as it is helpful when both parties are clear on expectations. As a Professional Organiser we value you and your growth in the process. Your confidentiality and trust are of the upmost importance. Listed below are our terms of service that define our process and service.
The personal information of and in possession of the Client will be treated confidentially and with respect at all times. During the course of our service we may come across items of a private or personal nature. It is our policy and is strictly enforced that no personal or private information is ever shared with anyone else without your consent. This includes name, address and phone number.
<br /> Payment Terms<br />
Payment is due at completion of sessions.
Invoices for one off sessions will be emailed and payable in 7 days from date of issue by EFT.
Invoices for multiple sessions will be emailed at completion of sessions or monthly for long term engagements payable in 7 days of issue by EFT.
For NDIS & NDIA managed clients invoices sent direct to NDIS for payment by EFT.
Plan managed clients invoices sent to nominated Plan Manager for payment by EFT.
Self-managed clients invoice directly for payment within 7 days from date of issue.
For larger projects a 50% deposit is requested prior to commencement.
Regarding the editing, sorting, and organising of items, the Client maintains process ownership. A Good Sort recognises items as the sole property of the Client, and though efforts will be made to help reduce the volume of belongings when necessary, it is hereby stated that the final decision on such matters belongs to the Client.
Both you and I have the right to cancel the session due to unforeseen circumstances. If you are able to give me at least two working days’ notice we can re-schedule our appointment. In the event of cancellation by the client, less than 48-hours before the agree start time, the full cost of the session will be charged to the client.
We do, however, understand that emergencies happen and therefore A Good Sort reserves the right to waive fees for special circumstances as determined by management. To do so is at the sole discretion of management and does not in any way alter or waive any portion of this Agreement.
Project outcomes depend on the Client’s willingness to participate in the process; sorting, editing, and donating when necessary. Long-term maintenance of organisation hinges on the Client’s commitment to maintaining the order, and quantity of items in the space.
Disruption of Service
A Good Sort reserves the right to terminate this Agreement for the following reasons:
Repeated cancellations and rescheduling
Client or family members engage in disruptive, threatening or violent behaviour, which can include but is not limited to yelling, verbal abuse, threats (outright or implied), Non-payment and unsafe working conditions.
A Good Sort nor their employees or contractors are liable for any loss due to damage to property, self or disposition of items. The Client retains full responsibility, unless gross negligence or intentional damage has been proven.
A Good Sort holds current Public Liability Insurance.
Being disorganised can negatively affect your ability to work smart.
Organisation increases your productivity, and clearing the clutter in your physical space will go a long way towards clearing the clutter in your mind and relationships. You will find a renewal of energy and begin to focus on all the important things. Basically, an investment in your future and the future of your family as well.
Items for Disposal
A Good Sort will, at the Client’s request, transport items for disposal to the appropriate locations. Whether by donation, recycling or tip, A Good Sort may dispose of said items at their discretion. Client may elect to dispose of items personally as well.
Tip fees incurred will be charged at cost to the Client.
Sixty (60) minutes of round trip travel time is complimentary. Any additional travel time is billed at our standard hourly rate. Travel time between work sites is billed at our standard hourly rate. Travel fees may be waived at the sole discretion of management.
If you have booked for more than one day’s consecutive work, depending on your location, it may be more appropriate (and economical) to provide me with accommodation. This may either be in local bed-and-breakfast or motel. Charges will be billed to Client at cost..
Time of Performance
A Good Sort employees and contractors do their best to complete the work in a timely manner, however, all parties agree that time is not of the essence to complete any agreed upon work. While we do our best to work expediently, we also take into consideration the Client’s emotional, physical, and mental needs. We will adjust our speed of work for the best interest of the Client. If any provision of this contract is held unenforceable, then such provision will be modified to reflect the parties’ intention. All remaining provision of this contract shall remain in full force and effect.
The Client releases all rights to before and after photos, to be used by A Good Sort for marketing purposes, including but not limited to website, social media, educational presentations, and pamphlets. Client identity and confidentiality will always be top priority in regards to photo usage.
